About Us
Steady-Pad originally came to be for one noble reason: We want to rid the world of shaking, walking, and noisy washing machines.
It was in 2017 when the idea of Steady-Pad came to be when I was living in a small dumpy rental house. I was fortunate enough to have a working washing machine and dryer already available in the house, but the level of noise and vigorous vibration was far from ideal. The fact that the laundry area was right next to the living room did not exactly help the situation either.
On the regular occasion when I had a decent sized load of laundry in the washing machine, it became an issue of loud noises and even worse the machines would shake so violently they would walk across the floor into the living room. As one can imagine, this quickly escalated into a joke in between my friends. "Hey! Is your washer running? You better go catch it!"
As funny as that may be. A solution had to be found.
Resorting to the internet for fixes, I came across a few products that seemed like they would do the trick. They were either made of a heavy plastic or a low-grade rubber because the options I came across either 1) did not absorb the vibrations of the vigorously vibrating washing machine and dryer or 2) did not have enough grip on the floor to keep my washing machine or dryer to stay put.
It was then a light bulb went off in my head. It certainly was not a complex problem, but it was something that needed to be done and had not yet been perfected.
From there, I decided I would make it my goal to test blends and hardnesses of various rubbers until I found what is the perfect amount of shock absorption to reduce (and even eliminate) the vibrations coming from my washing machine and dryer. The blend of natural rubber also showed to be ideal for gripping every type of flooring I tested.
After testing, testing, and more testing it became clear that it was time to see if everyone else would also benefit from this product. And as the saying goes... the rest is history.
I hope you are happy with the product as much as I am. Also, I am always open to feedback both good and bad. The more I get, the better I can make them for you and everyone in the future.
